Hold it under your chin and point toward vehicle. Just seems to bounce the RF better that way. Sometimes goes even further if you pass gas at the same time (only thing gas is good for).
10-30 feet? Man, mine works to about 50 yds. Was out in the cul-de-sac 3 houese down, shootin' the s**t with the neighbors and the wife wanted the truck unlocked. Without even taking the remote out of my pocket I hit the button and "clunk", doors are unlocked.
Mine works at 100'+ as well. I programmed both trucks to use the same FOB's (giving me 4 FOBs for the two trucks) and can unlock/lock both from over 100' away no problem.....

Mine works from over 200ft as well. Once, I was out of range, and
sticking the tip of the remote to my lips actually worked! So,
don't laugh when someone says put it near your head.
Now, the only problem is that someone can hack fob codes without
even being near the truck. The hacker can just listen to the RF
from all over the neighborhood!
Does anyone know if it's a revolving or pseudo-random keying?
Or do all fobs just broadcast their identity every time?

I have a Bulldog (the basic model from Sam's), and I can start from my office on the second floor of my building, as long as I am parked within 4-5 rows from the building and facing away (my antenna drapes down behind the dash), maybe 300 feet? If I upgraded to use the radio antenna (an option, I believe) I bet it would work even better.
My only fear is that if (when) the box craps out, will I be able to find an exact replacment, or will I have to gut the wiring and start over.
