keyless entry receiver/antenna

2010 F150 Lariat with factory fob separate from key.

Anyone know where the antenna or receiver is at for the factory keyless entry? I have searched past posts and cannot find anything. I need more range, I get about 25 feet. I have tried new remote & batteries. I don't want an aftermarket system, just need to improve the OE system.

My last 2 GM vehicles had a separate module under the dash that receives the signal from the key fob, I opened them up and extended the antenna, which made a huge difference in range. I want to do that to my F150.

Thanks.
Marty

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rt-or-not.html I think by the 3rd or 4th post, factory is by glove box and fords aftermarket is by the mirror.

Thanks for the post. That thread is about remote start, which I don't have. I'm looking for the module that receives for keyless entry, not remote start.

Hello. The RKE system is all apart of the SJB or "Smart Junction Box" I am actually trying to find some similar info but I am not aware of an antenna I assumed it is all apart of the SJB or Smart Junction Box.
I have recently performed a full conversion to full factory power options including RKE and I am having issues programming my remotes and if I do not have an antenna and it is indeed a separate component well then that would explain possibly why I am having my issue.
I would suspect if it was a separate component it would be above or near the SJB which is on the passenger foot-well below the glove box to the right behind the kick panel, which is where you access the fuse box... The Fuse Box is actually the SJB or Smart Junction Box which has the integrated RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) module along with light control module and Courtesy delay circuits. I hope this is helpful and if you find your antenna please let me know as that could be part of my issue.

The antenna does indeed mount behind the glove box, plugging into the TPMS module.

TPMS MODULE

Hello,
Has anyone have one of these TPM modules go bad? I recently did a timing chain on my 2011 Ecoboost, and afterwards the TPMS sensor light came on and wont go away. I tried the relearn method using the hazard button, and ignition / pedal method after replacing the supposedly bad sensor and the light still won't go away. I even purchased the relearn tool to program the new sensor and that still didn't work. I even went to the Sam's tire center and Discount Tire center and were told by both that the replacement TPMS sensor works, so it must be an computer issue. Has anyone had the same problem?

If the TPMS sensor is Motorcraft it could very well be (excerpted from the Ford Motorcraft TIRE PRESURE MONITORING SYSTEM document) ...

.
If the TPMS sensor is after-market you're more than likely SOL and at the mercy of the maker.
.
BTW... The battery life expectancy of a TPMS sensor is 5-8 years depending upon the mileage. *They're only -ON-/active when the wheel is in motion.
