[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Nov-02 AT 06:44 AM (EST)]Shhh.....! Whats that sound??????? NOTHING, it's the same sound you hear when you push your button or turn your switch and your T case doesn't engage.
Forty!!!!! cover me!!! I'm making a run for it!!
STCIKSHIFTS??????? Oh man , you don't even want Forty to see that one!
Well, I can see this thread is still here......
Ah the thread that wouldn't die, heavy snows here in the frozen northland caused me to have to lock in my hubs yesterday, they worked just fine! Imagine that, manual hubs that worked, what will they think of next. Maybe some high tech ideas might be, underwear that doesn't show skid marks, uni-sex panties so everyone could wear them with out shame, a truck that poses as a SMS with the flip of a switch or vise versa, possibly a tank with a DuraMax engine and ESOF incorporated into it's chrome reverse muffler bearings, less we forget Daisy Duke the true illegitimate dughter of uncle dad general Lee. Opps sorry that's not high tech, it's just an old joke.
Now that we are at war does that mean we'll call off the ESOF inspectors and bring 'em home? And last but not least, "Cant we all have manual shifters and just get along?"
Have fun, oh by the way has anybody seen our moderator?
From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
4X4 failed when I needed it!??????????
>Forty!!!!! cover me!!! I'm making a run for it!!
He's a slippery sucker, but I'll get him one of these days. I think I'll trip him up by turning his hubs when he's not looking!
>STCIKSHIFTS??????? Oh man , you don't even want Forty to see

Why? Does he have manual windows, an 8-track instead of tape/CD, no A/C, and manual (no power) steering? Because real men with real trucks don't need any of those, either! They're just "conveniences" and are more prone to failure.
Hey Outpost22 -- don't leave me hanging alone on this one; Yeti can't take me by himself so he's trying to get Forty to gang up on me; I need some backup!
Now where's my cammo gear? That abom. snowman is going to be harder to bag than I thought...

He's easy to spot, usually running through the woods wearing nothing but not quite so tidies on his head being chased by a dillusional monsta packing a leaf blower. Wow talk about Cronic Wasting Disease!

Wonder if the Military has any problems with their ESOF. I am sure they have the option. Can you imagine running onto the battlefield to lock the hubs

They better not have ESOF , I don't want my tax paying dollars buying some useless option.
>Can you imagine running onto the battlefield to lock the hubs.
Unfortunantly, I can. (Old Chevy CUCVs) Plus it has an unsynchronized X-fer case so you had to stop (or slow down) or risk listening to it grind up a pound of gears.
I say to hell with the choice and just get full-time 4wd and that the option otion to lock be the transfer case. (via handle) Ala: HMMWV. the real one...
