Well not anymore, guess the guy who owned it before me decided 2wd just wasnt enough, now I've got a Dana 50 under the front
F25 = F250 2WD / F26 = F250 4WD
Dana 50? No such thing prior to 1980...Dana 44 or 60 only.
Look on the lower portion of the right axle tube, just adjacent to the removable inspection cover for a bolted on 2" x 1/2" metal ID tag, which will have a 7 digit number on it (like: 603101-1)..post what you find, I'll decode it, and tell you what it's from. There may be a tag bolted to the cover, also.
I'm positive its a dana 50. the guy who owned my 70' before me used an 83' as a donor truck and put a bunch of its parts in the 70'.
After I get off work I'll climb under and look at the axle maybe you can tell me the gears it has, i've been curious about that since i pulled a toyota tundra out of the mud with little to no effort.
