What trans and axle code is this?
on my 89 F350, the door sticker says I have trans code W and axle code 39. Could someone tell me what this means? thanks

W is a ZF 5 speed manual and the 39 axle code is open 3.55 ratio full floating axle. What motor is in front of the 5 speed?

On a related note, My '88 F-250 has axle code C5. What does does it mean?
