Keyless door entry code

I recently bought an 09 Ford F150 Fx4 and didn't get the door code from the owner. I looked and found what I think is the door lock control module above the fuse panel but the only 5 digit code doesn't unlock the door. Any body have any suggestions what I can do the get the code?

What does your Ford dealer charge to hook up the computer and read it....Mine said $63 but I found the plastic factory card before I went to them.

Just found this..

2009 + key code location
As suggested.. it IS located on the control module behind the lower right passenger door area, right at the kickpad. Remove the panel, there are two screws holding the module to the frame, remove them and the numbers are below the barcode on the lower left part of the label. They are the 5 digit code. Extremely small print. Rather than remove the harness couplers to move the module out, I just used a lighted magnifing glass, worked out fine. Reprogerammed it today.
Incidentally, you have to put the master code on the plastic card yourself. Also in an area you can remember.

On my 13 I was able to get the code to come up on the display by inserting both keys in the ignition but I'm not sure if that will work on an 09??

I found my code at the kick panel as well. It was in big bold numbers. Hard to miss. Are you sure you used the right number?

Don't transpose a digit though. Took me a few minutes to figure that out.

Agreed.

I purchased my '11 in November and had been searching for "where's the code". I read on one forum, you had to tear into the passenger side kick panel and unbolt the module to get the code on the backside (towards the outside of the car). Neither code on the back worked. However, still determined, I found one post on an F150 forum that said to just remove the kick panel and look on the top of the module (facing the center console). Sure enough, there it was......five digits with a letter behind it. I punched in the 5 digits as they were on the module and it has worked perfectly.

It's a nice feature to have on the truck.

Key Code

A few years back a 'Robert Ross' posted a thread which I saved to bookmarks. It consisted of all possible combinations of #'s. I printed off a copy for a friend and took him about 10 minutes to find correct code. I saved the thread but don't know how to copy to this thread. If someone can tell me how I'll post his thread and possibly someone will save as Sticky. Thanks, Tom

Same with my 2012. The code wasn't on the backside of the module. It was right on the front side.
