So i have a '66 f250 that I pulled the rusty bed off awhile back since i'd bought a '64 long bed from a guy that's in great condition. I've measured out the bolt positions in the bed that I can see, near as I can tell looks like new 'front' bolt holes adjacent to the wheels will need to be drilled out, the 64 has then back ~1-2 inches.
What I'm confused about is everything I'm seeing indicates there should be 8 bed bolts total. I have bolt holes in the frame rails for 8 bolts(actually some redundant ones in the back and front, not sure if someone had a different bed on at some point or if that's normal), my new mounting hardware kit has 8 bolts...yet I can only see 6 on the replacement bed. I got 2 by each wheel arch, one up front on each side, and diagrams I'm seeing online indicate there should be another set in the very back but I can't see any carriage bolts poking up on the bed itself. Are they tucked underneath? Trying to get measurements taken beforehand to make sure I dont need to drill more.
