Flareside Bed Mounting
Last Fall when I joined this forum my first question involved changing from a styleside to a flareside bed on my '65 F100 long bed. Over the past several months I have completed the body/paint work on the truck and am in the final assembly phase. I should have clarified this question long ago... On the flareside bed the front and rear bed to frame mounting holes line up; however the existing holes in the frame for the other bed supports do not appear to be in the correct position. Can someone help me with the placement of the bed supports?

Purchased new bed for 65 F100 flareside 6' bed and found the center cross member was off about 1 1/2" and had to drill new holes. Have total of 3 cross member with bolt securing each side, and an angle bracket at the end of the bed that attaches to the 'sill assembly' with 2 bolts on each side that secures bed to frame. Used rubber spacers between bed and frame.

Was going to suggest taking look at whether you can place the cross members so they aligh with holes in the frame, but if the bed already has bolt holes probably prefer refab. location where it will not be seen.
