If it’s worth noting, I had it running for about 20 minutes and the ac drain line didn’t drop anything. I thought it might be clogged, so went to push a screwdriver in. Went to put my hands around the tube to guide screwdriver and plenty of air is blowing out of the tube, just no water. It’s also not leaking on floorboard.

Nose of truck is downhill.

Temp gauge for what’s it’s worth after about 6 minutes.
60 is a tad on the high side, i would expect to see closer to 45 or so. with temp taken with settings on max ac, outside air off, fan on medium setting and idle raised to around 900-1,000 rpm?
spraying the AC condenser with a garden hose should drop vent temps too. if the condenser is dirty or just not doing it's job.
and your fan clutch could be bad too

fan on high, max ac, idle around 900ish, no clutch fan. I have a thunderbird e fan, rated for 3300 cfm. I expected colder, but it is colder than it was!

60 is still great when it is 90+ outside.
i had 94 degrees air blowing out of the vents of the 2024 Kenworth yesterday.
the refrigerant and nitrogen bottles grew legs and walked off sometime between friday and last september when i last charged a system. and of course the new bottles will not be in until tuesday so i can find the leak and fix it..

Most things always seem to grow legs when they are important!! I barely use the AC, but when I do, it just seemed to take so long to feel cold. Not I know why! I may actually start using it more now possibly knowing that I will be able to feel it sooner. I do landscaping inside city limits, furthest customer is 4.4 miles. Once I’m done with a yard, roll the windows down, drive 3 minutes and then park again. We shall see! The kid will be happier when he comes to visit though!

Two cans tells me there’s a leak somewhere. My plan will be this winter to drop the system. New dryer/receiver, condenser from 95, new lines and o-rings

Does it not seem odd that the ac drain doesn’t drain? Like I said, you can put your finger over the hole and air blows out just fine.

You also need to check if your temp cable is adjusted so that the blend door is closing fully.

I’ll double check again, but I adjusted it when I resealed that plastic cover last summer. Thanks!

you will only see drainage when it is humid out.

Quick update.. today after working I had to run some errands. IR gun came in last night so kicked on the ac and went for a drive. Sweet Jesus! Within a few minutes, immediate difference! At idle, IR gun at vent by right knee was staying around 45-47. As soon as I start driving, down to 36-37. I appreciate all the help everyone!!

83F and 67% humidity and still no ac drainage. Guess as long as it’s not on the floorboards, screw it!
