OK guys I’ve got a 1979 F150 four-wheel-drive C6 automatic 205 case has a 302 and I need headers. the engine is built for mid-level performance. I don’t want to run a stock style Manifold. I’ve searched this site and the Internet and have not found a viable option. Someone has to have used a 347 or other 302 based engine in one of these trucks. I just can’t find any results that show what headers they may have used. I’m not opposed to a block hugger or a Shorty style. I just was hoping someone had actually made this swap and could give me reliable information on what would work.
I'm just guessing here, but a pair of Mustang block huggers might work depending on where they dump out on each side.
A good victor torch can make quick work of modifying the angle of the dump.
Ket us know what you find.
After rebuilding a set for a 76 to fit in a 78 with an FE, be smarter than me, and accept the compromise of shorties. If you can find a set of block hugger long tubes that route like shorties, I’d try that route.
Honestly seems like nowadays $500 is on the cheap end.
