headers for 302

headers for 302
i am looking for headers from dynomax and they don't list any for any thing before 1980 for a 302, would they work on a 79 or should i go to the block hugging headers for a 302? would there be any performance difference between the 2?

Headers would definitely help as the stock exhaust mainifolds are the most restricitive part of the system. When you say block hugging headers, do you mean "shorty headers"? Do a search on the subject and I'll bet you will find more info. There are many that make that type of header but make sure the header are compatible with your model of Ford due to clearance issues with the transmission linkage etc. Hope this helps
