searched and found plenty of shift flare threads out there, but most are for 3-4….
Under minimal throttle applications (rate of acceleration limited due to traffic), my 2016 flares the 5-6 shift for the first 1-3 shifts, then behaves normally. Under medium to full throttle it shifts perfectly. I have tried multiple KAM reset and fluid and filter changes with no luck. It actually gets worse after a KAM reset then clears up for the most part.
Dealer said “normal” but I hate it. Anyone run into this and actually fix it?
My 2016 does this occasionally as well. I am just over 220k miles with the original fluid (to my knowledge). It has done this every once in awhile since I got the truck with under 100k miles. I just try to avoid light acceleration between 5-6 and get firm shifts that’s way.

I would be less bothered if it was occasionally, but it occurs every day I drive the truck
after it gets out a few funky shifts it runs fine the rest of the day.
Also, not sure if it is related to engine load or tow/haul mode but when I hook up the trailer and hit the road it doesn’t seem to do it
