Yeah and if you want to really dive in, I posted that here along with the update info and other stuff you'll find handy if you want to dig in and reman it to '95+ (or even beyond, but with the power of the IDI engine, there's no need at all to go beyond '95 spec, that is you're N/A or just basic turbo kit power level).
I've got my old original trans from the F450 in the garage. I really need to do this myself. I was going to this winter but I ran into some health issues (battling the big C but I'll kick it's ***). Go for it man! It should be a fun project! I'm gunna tear into mine at some point. Just go through those pdf files and do a bit of research first. You may want to at least upgrade the center support and whatever supporting parts go with that.
I'm going to warn you though, you reman the trans with the tugger kit and that triple disc converter, you're never going to want to sell the truck after.

Yeah, the pump is shot, but you're right, your discs do look good. At least the ones you pulled from the OD pack. It looked like you just wanted to keep going haha. Go much more and you might as well put it back together with new parts. Someone with experience inside will have to help more than I can, but I don't see anything obvious. Though I've only rebuilt one trans, a C6 back when I was a teenager and I don't recall much about it anymore. You're making me wish I felt good enough to tear into my burned out E4OD now, too.
See if someone thinks you should keep going or just toss a pump in it and run it.
I mean obviously, it would be cool to see the condition of some more clutch packs, but how deep to you want to go to inspect, right? How many miles are on the truck? When I put a pump and converter in, to nurse my old one along, it had nearly 200k and then it just slipped and lost it's gears the next season or two. I bet your trans is in better shape than mine was.
