LOOKING FOR ELECTRICAL HELP.....

Posting this thread with the hope that someone on here can identify an electrical harness I need. I am in the process of swapping out the middle jump seat in my 2026 STX/XL for a center console that I was able to source. The front of the console has 2 harnesses that have to be connected to existing wiring in the dashboard. I have found the extension harness that is needed (for the brown plug) which is for the USB. I am unable to find/identify what harness would be used to connect the harness with the white plug to the dashboard. The first picture pasted below shows the 2 electrical harnesses. Looking to identify the harness with the white male plug and what harness would connect to it. Any help is most appreciated. Additional pics also below............thanks in advance.........

That wire may be related to push to start (Lariat) vs key start (XLT). It may or may not be applicable to your STX.

Swap center seat for console

The XLT console would have harness 14h304 within. The handoff connector would be c3135.
The Lariat/Platinum/Limited console would have harness: 14b079 within. The handoff connector would be c215, THIS is your white connector. The truck would have the mating connector in the center of dash, down behind the "media hub" in console via harness: 14401. It appears the supplier of your console might have cut off the c3135 and replaced with a c215 connector. The issue you might experience is the "c215" connector in your photo has (4) wires. The mating c215 in truck has (8) wires populating that connector. Also, I believe all late model Super Duties have PATS system. If your truck does have PATS, you will need to be sure to mate c3133 and c3560 to get the antenna in the armrest included in the PATS system.

Wudwork....thanks for your very detailed reply. Let me try to provide some added info and maybe answer some questions. Keep in mind I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to electronics. I am an OLD nuts and bolts guy. So I may not explain everything that follows perfectly.

1) The harness (14401, correct?) with the white connector (C215) is unaltered and original. The connector has not be changed. The console and all of its wiring are as from the factory
2) C215 has only 4 wires. According to the diagram they are in pins #2/ #6 / #7 /#8. The wire colors listed match up. As to wire #2, I have yet to trace where it goes from C215 and back into the rest of the console. My bet it has to do with the ambient lighting.
3) As best as I can tell wires in #6-7-8 in C215 are also in the media hub connector C3618. The wire colors are identical. And C3618 has only these 3 wires.
4) The donor console does not have wireless charging nor a heated rear seat switch. As far as if the donor console has PATS, I do not think it does, but no harm since my truck does not have PATS. My 2026 XL/STX is a regular cab and as such Ford blocks just about almost all options no matter how much money you want to give them.
My jump seat has no electrical connections other than the wire harness for the seat belt buckle for the jump seat. My truck has no harness that can be plugged into C3560/C3133.
5) The donor console does have USB charge port #3 (C3063) and the rear charge port #2 C3522. If I have this right, these 2 ports are wired off the same 3 wires as the media hub?
6) Donor console has the media bin ambient C3553 lamp.
7) I am guessing here, but I think there should be a harness that goes from C215 to a harness in the dashboard. The 14401 harness that ends at the front of the console with C215 on it, is not long and only has a short length. So confused if it can reach its connection point in the dashboard due to its short length. Which brings up the fact I have no idea just where in the dashboard 14401/C215 would connect to.

YES CLEAR AS MUD! I miss the days of points and condenser, setting dwell and using a timing light. And tracing wires was easy back then. CANBUS? Did I mention I am old?

Later today I will send you a PM with more info and pictures but hopefully you will be able to decipher my explanation and you can add more insight as to what I am getting right or wrong. As I said I am not the best when it comes to the electronics in the new cars/trucks and why I seek help from those more knowledgeable like yourself. MUCH THANKS..........mike

The manual definitely shows two connectors at the front of the console in the procedure for removing said console. Problem being, it’s hard to pinpoint what they are because they’re not called out.

Best guess is the media hub and the WACM but looking at those connectors in the index, neither one matches what you have.

You sure someone did not add parts to a lower trim console?

Saratoga.....thanks for your response. Yes I am sure the two connectors (one tan colored the other white ) are factory as well as the rest of the harness that runs through the console. The tan connector is for the USB-C. I found the harnress that connects to that tan color connector at the front of the console and which then goes to the APIM. Part number for that is PC3Z-14D202-DE. If you check the diagram I pasted below you will see "CABLE ASSEMBLY" 14D202A listed. Look at the diagram and you will see 2 parts shown in the diagram for 14D202A. The red color one is for trucks with no center console and short in length (PC3Z14D202CA), the green colored one (PC3Z14D202DE) is longer and is for trucks with the console. The longer length of this extension harness allows it reach the console from the APIM. The red colored one is too short. If you read through some of the threads on converting the jump seat to console you will find people having trouble sliding the console into place and connecting the short red 14D202A to the USB-C. The green 14D202A solves this. Took me forever to find.

What I am looking to find now is an "extension" harness that will connect to the white plug and be long enough to reach the dashboard area. In essence doing the same thing that the green 14D202A did, making a longer harness.

I appreciate the help!

Option A: Buy the existing "pigtails" and splice them together; NOT cheap! The Female end is: WPT-1624 = LU2Z-14S411-ACA is HERE . The MALE end is: WPT-1623 = LU2Z-14S411-ABA is HERE. Its hard to decode, but is appears you need the "WPT" parts as that is the connector with each pin already crimped. A quick glance has the "WPT" pigtails north of $300 PER PIGTAIL !!!!

Option B: Roll your own. If you inspect white connector up close (VERY up close), you can read the connector model #. Its very hard to find and decipher, keep trying. With that, goto Mouser DOT com and/or Digikey DOT com and put that number in. Once you get a web page showing connector, it will show what mates to it as well as what pin/sockets go into each. Use above details to identify pins/sockets (material = TIN as shown in above detail) you will need then you will likely want/need a crimper. Its likely you will spend $15 on parts and $90 for crimper.

If you consider rolling your own, it might help if you put "What is the generic part number for ford connector LU2Z-14S411-ABA" into Google coPilot. It responded with a lot of helpful information.

NOTE: it is not clear the difference between: LU2Z-14S411-ABA and WPT-1623 other than crazy $ amounts. Perhaps you can get away with just getting the LU2Z-14S411-ABA and LU2Z-14S411-ACA kits?

Lastly, please update your signature in this forum. You will get more informed responses when folks reading know what you are driving (year, model, trim etc...).

Either way, best of luck, this is fun stuff !

wudwork....thanks for your reply. This is WAY above my pay grade. And when I got to the part were you said "THIS IS FUN" I broke out my bottle of Jack Daniels since that is the only way this is going to be fun for me...lol.

I pasted below 3 pictures:

The first 2 pictures show a black connector that goes to the rear of the USB-C shown in the 3rd picture. This black connector has 3 wires that are the same 3 (out of the 4) that are in the white connector/harness. Wires #6-7-8. From the diagram/information you posted previously (THANK YOU AGAIN!) the 3 wires provide power and illumination to the USB-C and power to the other 2 charge ports in the console.

There is an alternative. That is to use the black plug currently in my truck that is connected to the USB-C located down under the radio/temp controls. Not easy to do since the lead on that black plug is short and difficult to hook up to the USB-C while at the same time sliding the new console forward. But getting it done this way will leave the 2 other USB charge ports un-powered and the ambient light in the cubby with no power too. All of this to explain why I was trying to use the white/plug harness.

So keep reading if I haven't confused you enough yet...maybe also brake out the JD....

Here is a spitball idea....can I just directly supply power and ground to the 4 wires in that white plug?

PS...if it makes it easier to respond or explain to me you can reach me at 732-310-4590. PLEASE do not fell obligated to call. I will now go back to drinking....
