Exclamation 47 bumper hard steel! try drilling it
hi,all hay I am trying to drill two 1/2 holes in my front bumper for my new/old grille gard. Are they spring steel or what ? good bits just go dull . maybe I will use felcro !!!

Try a carbide drill bit. Slow speed with cutting fluid.

Not on a bumper, but I've used a stick welder to pierce holes in spring steel. Cleaned up the holes with a small grinding stone. Good luck!

finally! hardest steel ever to drill, but worth it!

I like your grill guard! Mine had the remains of a clamp on attachment system, so I copied what was there to make the rest. More pics of tour truck?
