bumper

Anyone know of a front bumper that has lights "built in"? I know it would be a aftermarket thing but can't find anything anywhere.
thanks

Why not just cut out your stock bumper?

Only one way I know of to GET experienced and that is to ask a lot of questions, figure out what you want it to look like, and then DO stuff.

Cutting a bumper should not be all that difficult. I have a 4.5" hand-held grinder that will cut dang-near anything made of metal. Cost me all of $19 at Harbor Freight and works great. Get a 10-pack of cutting disks while you are at it. They are $5-6.

If you attempt this, make sure that where you want the holes for the lights does not have any mounting brackets, bolts, wires, or other obstacles inside the bumper. Then mark the holes you need with a broad tipped felt pen. Once you are satisfied with the location and size of the hole markings, clamp the bumper to a bench or other solid object, and do the cut... slowly... keep your cutting lines as straight as possible and then clean them up with a smooth file. Be careful. Wear leather gloves and goggles or a full face shield while grinding.

If you're still concerned about being able to do this, you can go to the nearest auto junk yard, get a beat up bumper for a few bucks, and practice on that before cutting your actual bumper. If the practice bumper does not go well, then you can back off and try something else. If it works OK, it may give you the confidence to proceed.

Another possibility would be to dismount the bumper, take it to a machine shop, tell them what you want to do, and have them cut the light holes. Not sure what that would cost but probably not too much. $30-40?

That's kind of what I was getting at.

Bumpers here are about $26 and if you screw it up, no great loss. Much cheaper than any aftermarket bumper if you can find one.
