My truck is at the dealership getting the diagnostic test(they will have it for 2-3 days), these are the issues they found(so did I on my scanner) and will let me know the fixes and cost.
I would love to hear anyone's opinion of what this cost could probably be. I'm not getting the work done if they're charging me like my truck is covered under warranty. But I would love to hear what anyone thinks the cost could be. Thanks.
all 3 codes could be caused by the same problem.. could be something as simple as a failed fuel injector... all depends on WHO does the inspection and how GOOD he is at it..
Diagnostic test here runs $150/hr, they wave that charge if you let them rake you over the coals, and they fix it, they charge $185/hr to fix issues. You will easily be over $400 just in labor, then parts cost, will take a arm, or leg. They were charging me $185 to rotate tires, wally world charged $5/tire, but you had to get appointment.
They said they found diesel in the tank. So, they have to take it down and flush it, clean a few things and put new plugs in. It will be ready, hopefully Monday, at the end of the day.
I did this and remembered questioning if I were using the right pump or if it was diesel. I don't use BP, but their green pump was beside the regular gas choices. I thought it was odd, but figured it was their signature green on the handles. I take this as a very costly lesson. Green *******s.
