I installed one of those years ago. Salvaged from a minivan and put the access hole in the bed. Heck of a back saver too. I still also use the factory spare support as I have had a cable break in the past. Long story short, years ago was teaching my son how to change a tire and after him insisting that there was no spare under his truck I got down to prove how blind he was. To my surprise, there was no spare. Just a broken cable. Don't know when, don't know where.

Member CropDuster used the complete assembly from a newer generation of Ford truck, cannot recall now which one. I have been meaning to get to a salvage yard he recommended in Fresno to get a set-up, but haven’t yet. They said they have plenty, but I’d have to scrounge to find the crank handle.
CD mentioned that is easiest to install it with the bed off.
Here is a thread to look at it has the original mount and also the one I used. Best route is to get one from a salvage yard with everything that goes with it including the plastic funnel that guides the drive rod into the wench. Spare Tire?'66f250 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Bill, can you mention which year trucks ? Ahhh, I see you did mention it in that thread, early 2000’s.

When I bought the one, I used it was already out and on the shelf the yard man said it was from a 2003 F150. Anyone putting one of these in no matter of what year or vehicle it came from needs to get everything from the donor, guide funnel, drive rods, lug wrench, and the jack since all that stuff is designed to work together. I will say if I had to do one now without the benefit of a lift I would take the bed off. I added the triangle part so the tire would have a solid part to come up against.
These are a nice addition to an old problem. I thought about one for my 66 when I was restoring it. Ended up just putting the old carrier on it. which I did not come from the factory with.
Since my bumper prevented access from the rear without drilling, chose to create access point in the bed. Also no need for anything other than a 3/4" socket to raise/lower.
