Just purchased their dual Fog Light replacements as well as their Hitch Bar Light Kit. Anyone here gone down this road before and how was the installation? Tips / tricks. Looks pretty straightforward watching their videos, my biggest concern is the up-fitter switch under the hood.
UPDATED WITH SOME PICSS !
Thanks,
Greg

The upfitter switch wire connections in the engine bay will be the easiest part. Just remove the black fuse box above the upfitter wires bundle for better access and find the wire color for the switch you want. The wires are labeled. Connect the light power wire to upfitter wire. Connect the light ground wire to a good ground. If your lights have a long wire harness that runs both wires to the engine bay, there is a ground point above the wheel near the upfitter wires. Use waterproof wire connectors, heat shrink tubing, and wire loom.

Congratulations on your BMC purchase. You will like them.
I purchased both the hitch lighting kit and the dual fog/driving light kit. I was going to install them but was introduced to Wolf Customs in the Nashville area. They have been connected with BMC for years. So, I had them install both lighting systems. I figured if something was done wrong it would be on them. (They do stand behind their work.)
I had the install the hitch lights to #6 upfitter switch because the switch can be hot all the time with a flip of a jumper. There are times I want the lights on without the ignition being on.
Overall, I was impressed with their job, their friendliness, professionalism, etc. I would have no problem having them install other items on my F350.
My son has a friend in the aftermarket auto industry and custom wiring is his specialty. He looked at the installation and was impressed.
The times I have called BMC with lighting/installation questions etc, they were very helpful.
I purchased the BMC rear hitch bar lights for my 2026 F350 King Ranch but was concerned the dual "fog/driving lights were to extreme (bright for on-coming traffic) to have any practical use so I passed on them. What's been your real world experience with the BMC front fog/driving lights? Are my concerns warranted? Or do you only use them for off roading?
So far the fogs are not an issue. No one has flashed their light at me. I have had the for about a year. As for the driving lights I only use them when there is no oncoming traffic. If a vehucle comes I turn them off. Roads where there is no oncoming traffic or in the mountains the lights turn night into day.
At this point, I am glad I purchased the fog/driving combo and hitch lights.
I have gotten compliments from people when they see me use the hitch lights as we'll as, the driving lights at night.

Thanks for the reply. You mentioned having no problems with oncoming traffic flashing you when the fog lights alone were on. Do you have the fog lights wired to a separate upfitter switch from the driving lights? Does the harness(es) BMC provides with the kit have two separate wiring runs for connection to two separate upfitter switches? Did you consider reusing the factory fog light switch for the BMC fog lights with the BMC kit and then just one upfitter switch for the driving lights? Or is that in fact what you did?
Do you know if there are less intense driving lights that would be less likely to bother on coming traffic but still fit in the BMC bracketry and bezel included with the kit? If you or anyone else reading this post has used different lights than the options BMC offers, I love to know which ones and how easily (or not) they fit with the BMC brackets/bezel.
As for the fog lights, they plug directly to the factory wiring so the Ford factory switches work with them.
The driving lights are the only lights I have connected to a upfitter switch.
All the BMC brackets fit nicely in the Ford fog light area. They were designed to fit in there.
BMC has a variety lighting options with the fog and driving lights. Give them a call to discuss the options. They are very helpful.
As I said earlier, I really like BMC lights so far.

Lot of questions there,
I haven't received my Fog Light Kit and probably won't get to install them and the Hitch Bar Lights until after the Holidays; so, I can't comment regarding oncoming traffic
Regarding the harness: taking to Jake @ BMC the harness allows the new fog lights to be controlled via factory settings, and the driving light is controlled via an upfitter switch.
I chose to use the Diode Dynamics lighting options.
The Hitch Bar light will also be controlled via an upfitter switch but there are other options.
Best recommendation would be to call and speak to someone @ BMC lights they were very helpful, I originally sent an e-mail with some questions, and they answered that very promptly. I decided to pull the trigger and was lucky enough to catch their Holiday and sale and saved 20% off listed pricing.
I spoke with Jake at BMC yesterday. He was very helpful. Jake told me the fog lights that are included in the Rigid Mixed SAE kit are comparable to the factory fog lights, should not be an issue for oncoming traffic and are controlled by the existing factory fog light. The driving lights included in that kit (BMC's Option 2 on their website) are much stronger than factory lights and should be operated accordingly. The driving lights ideally should be linked to one of the upfitter switches, if you have them on your truck...I do. So I ordered a fog/driving light kit from BMC yesterday. Incidentally, last week I ordered a 30" double row curved light bar from Black Oak and a set of mounting brackets for the 30" light bar from ZROADZ. The light bar will also be linked to an upfitter switch. I should have lots of light out in front of me when driving around the sparsely populated roads in the Green Mountains of Vermont!
