Finally Got Me

Well, it finally happened to me - crank, no start. FICM logic power & main power show 0 on Torque Pro, Cam/Crank sync shows 0 also (IF my PID's are set up correctly). Tach & oil pressure gauge don't move when cranking. Is there a fuse that could kill all of this? Was running fine when I parked it a couple days ago. Only codes are for EGR and Fan (EGR deleted & 7.3 mechanical clutch)

Are the FICM harnesses fully seated? Good luck with this.

Hopefully this is my problem - vermin seem to have gotten to the FICM harness. Found 2 wires chewed through. Have patched them, but waiting to buy some foil tape to re-wrap it. Also recharging the batteries.
Fingers crossed...

That is the first that came to mind when you described your issue. Good luck.

Too bad rodents don't follow any set pattern on what appeals to them most under the hood, lol. They can be a real pain.

My FIL told me some of the wiring insulation and plastic fuel line is made with corn/ soy products which may explain the rodent fascination with them. I had a vent line on a tractor I could not keep the rodents from eating. I replaced that line numerous times. I finally smeared grease on it and they haven’t touched it since.

Good idea (as long as they didn't move on to other more-important things to chew on)!
