I got one of those grocery store hams. I don't do it often. It's a lot of work to slice it. Then I take the ham bone and make a stock. The best part, my reward, is picking the meat off the bones for dinner. I'm a savage. I'm like a dog. Gnawing on the bones, and trying to suck out the marrow. Now I have a couple of freezer bags full of sliced ham that will last until the next football game.

That sounds good, just don’t let the rellies know that it’s there.
A wet evening up here at the North End of the Valley. Took the 6.0 to work today to run it since it has been sitting since September. What a difference when compared to the 5.8L in the Bronco. Everything seems to be running good🤞🏼 Still have some minor projects to do on both trucks and the Bronco, but the oncoming light does not appear to be a fast freight.🤣
On a side note, no venison this year, but my tag got me out of the house and a chance to spend time with my father.
I saw a video on FB where a guy took a cooked honey baked ham and put it on the smoker. It ended up being "pulled ham" and looked killer. I might have to try that over my Christmas break.

Weather guy last night said north of Fort Bragg they're expecting as much as 7 inches of rain tonight & tomorrow.
Hello Tim.
I used to buy whole chickens at Walmart. The ones sitting under the heat lamp in a bag. Then I ended up getting food poisoning from one of them and have not bought one since.
Hams are too expensive for me.
Well, today showed a good start for November. We got some pretty good rain up here today, but drivers be drivers. About 08:45 a car hydroplaned on I-5 and spun out with bad results. NB I-5 has been and still is closed at the ***** Ferry Rd exit in Anderson with no ETA for opening. A fuel double flipped in the accident blocking the lanes and causing a large Hazmat response.
Days like today make be glad to no longer be working in the field (road) full time.
Tim, I agree. I’m no longer a professional driver, but the force to roll a truck like that.
People are griping on social media, but the Hazmat clean up at that level is significant. I’ve heard quotes of 1500 gal to 4500 gal of diesel/gas takes a lot of clean up. Also those tanks are surprisingly thin, they are a bi**h to get upright empty and worse when they are full.
i actually CANCELED attending a meeting tonight to avoid the traffic from this incident. There is not much in the way of detours up here when something happens.
Wet roads. Grease and oil in the roadway rises. Decreased traction. That much weight, traveling at freeway speeds, does not stop easily when brakes are applied. Rules of physics. Wheels lock up, top heavy load........ that rollover could have happened on a wet or dry road.
