I can't believe that you went to Denny's at 5:30 in the morning. What time did you wake up? 4:30?
I have been waking up at 4am lately. I usually wake up three times a night and by 4am I decide to get up. Right now, it is 4:41am, and I am listening to the rainfall outside my apartment, and to a "Relaxing vibes" channel on my TV.
I am one of the cheapest people. My X caught me this morning as I was sharpening my razor blade box cutter.
"Who does that?"
Apparently I do. I have never bought a new blade for it. I just keep running it through the sharpener. In 20 years, I might have saved $20 in disposable razor blades. Not to mention that I didn't pollute the environment.
$950 for a knife? That better last your lifetime, your kid's lifetime and your grandkid's lifetime...
I know, the knife was free, the shipping was $950.

You win the prize. For me, the time spent and the semi-sharp blade would kill me. When I buy a box cutter, I also get a package of blades. A box of 5 blades is something like $2.50 at Home Depot.
Beef stroganoff that will be served over jasmine rice. High quality ingredients add to this old standby. Tri-tip trimmings (from making steaks), a decent Cabernet Sauvignon, and sliced Baby Portobello mushrooms add to the depth. Too bad I don’t have any leftover smoked tri-tip, it REALLY made the flavors pop!
It tastes nothing like the Beef Stroganoff MREs I lived on years ago.
