Help to identify these Cam shafts?

We've finally worked out what is causing the misfiring in my Expy 5.4L V8.
Both the Left and Right Cam shafts are worn and causing big misfire issues. The car has been out of action for a few months now.

The issue is (becaue it's part of a batch due to go to the middle east, but didn't) the car does not "exist" on the Ford systems so the VIN (1FMJU1H5XFEF03802) does not help. I bought a 2014 pair of cam shafts from Rock Auto and sadly they do not fit. (Since there is not 2015 V8 model in the US, usually 2014 parts fit fine).

All I have left is the numbers printed on the old cam shafts which may make it possible to find a matching pair? (9F-9L3E-6251-CA and 590147648)

If anyone can help me identify the matching cam shafts I'll buy them again and work out how to ship them here to the UK.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Any infortmation we can see tells us the 9L3Z-6250-C and 9L3Z-6250-D are the correct ones. It's possible rockauto just sent the wrong ones. These were most likely built with leftover 2014 parts and then exported. The VIN is good on the Ford side but some of the data is missing. I would see if you can get a part number from Ford Europe. Our catalog in the US and Can of export vehicles is only partial. Can you post more pics of the cams and the engine itself including any tags with numbers on the engine? May point us in a better direction.

Dan, thanks for the quick reply.
I used https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...,camshaft,5260 to find the 2014 cam shafts and as you will see, the numbers you quote above don't appear anywhere in the listing/INFO as far as I can see. (They also don't match what is in my photo of the original camshaft we took out)
This is what it says about the 2 i ordered:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...&pt=5260&jsn=1
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...&pt=5260&jsn=2

If I search rock auto for 9L3Z-6250-C and D I am getting "not found" messages so it's a bit confusing.
Ford Europe won't talk to me about imported Fords that are not available here (I've had them almost 30 years and they know nada!)
It's getting dark so I'll pop back to the garage and get some more info / photos.
thanks again
Rgds

The info we have is based on the Ford parts catalog for North America. Those are the OEM Ford part numbers for the 2014 5.4 3V cams. Not surprising you don't find them on Rock Auto.

More info off the engine itself could help us verify whether the U.S. spec cams could work, we can't comment on the aftermarket stuff.

OK we've taken some photos and found the stickers you see below. There is also a photo of the original cam shaft we've removed that was working for 10 years (the one with 9F-9L3E-6251-CA printed on it) and you can see the new cam shafts have the notches in the wrong places. Thanks again for the help - the lower sticker was hard to photograph as when you touched it the letters flaked off but hope this helps a bit.
thanks
Mike

THis is the best I could get - the lower sticker was flaking off as we moved it so we can't see the lowest numbers properly

This is the original camshaft that worked for 10 years and we're trying to replace (says 9F-9L3E-6251-CA on it)

We actually have a set of the 2014 cams in stock sop we went out and took pics. The number on the cam matches yours. This is the 9L3Z-6250-C.

Thank you - just a quick one. So the two parts have sligthly different formats - is that normal?

RF-9L3E-6251-CA <- the one I have and you do too
RF-9L3E-5C255-C <- the other one I cannot check as it's in the engine still so just wanted to check the 5C255 bit was right as it's an extra character

Thanks
Mike

Yes, totally normal with Ford. That's actually 6C525. Some cams have that number, some have 6250, 6A271, 6A273 etc. They're just engineering numbers.
