redundant labor Reg Ret while cab off studding?

How much additional labor to add regulated return when performing a proper cab off head removal and studding of the 6.0? I already have a Beans sump installed. Would consider concurrent install of FASS like system.

How many hours would a shop charge for cab mount replacement on a Super Cab Short bed?

Thank you,

They have several RR systems on the market you can look at for price comparisons.

My truck has never run or idled better with the addition on my ADII external pump system. To be honest, unless you're running some super duper injectors and need the fuel system you can get away with leaving the OEM HFCM in play. Mine was going out and decided to go that route, and it has been great for years now.

As for the cab mount, if the cab is coming off I am sure the shop will charge you the cost of the mount only.

So that would be the 4G model you have?

Were you able to reuse the stock return line or did you have to upsize to 1/2" along with the supply line?

Is the regulator under the hood or is that incorporated into the filter/pump unit?

I have the 5G model.

The kit comes with all the hose and connectors needed to attach the unit.

My RR has an external aeromotive fuel pressure regulator that sets the fuel pressure.

I run ~60psi at the gauges (mineral gauge on the regulator and electric gauge in the cab).

I will say that the harness that came with the AD is complete JUNK! I made my own with larger 10AWG wire and 70A relay under the hood. I also added a ground close proximity to the fuel pump.
The harness that came with the AD as I mentioned is complete $H*T. It was getting hot at the relay as was the wiring.

Not sure how the hell they get away with sending a mediocre harness.

Not sure of FASS systems, but keep what I said in mind.

This is all great info, thank you.

Do you happen to know how much redundant labor is involved when installing a regulated return when concurrently replacing the heads?

IMO, every shop is going to be different and the variation between shop quotes could be significant.....especially if you haven't even made a decision yet on what unit you want.

I understand billed shop rate varies, as do some kits might vary a little bit, but not greatly. I am just trying to understand if installing a regulated return is almost equivalent to a remove and replace job, minus connections to the back of the head and back.

What about the use of the stock return, or not?

Yes the stock return was used. I will crawl underneath the truck today and verify if the hose diameter was changed for the return.

It has been years since i installed this unit. I do recall them supplying an AN adapter for this.

Thank you, that would be much appreciated. I can stop worrying about the Beans Micro having only one port if I decide to upgrade down the road.

The kit included a Air/Vapor Quick Connect Return Tee 5/16”x5/16”x3/8 for the return, utilizing the OEM connections allowing you to hook up the AD pump.

Everything you need is in the box.
