I guess you were technically the first one that mentioned it in the thread but I also appreciate you my truck is back running and driving because of such a simple stupid thing that I did not know 4 years ago

How did you address those "big shiny bits" in the pan?

pretty sure its old stuff bc guy didnt clean it when he built it. At all it was a $400 rebuild what can i expect really

Good luck. The inside of the transmission (or engine) has to be clean for reassembly. You cannot have debris circulating through the system. Did any of that shiny stuff make it into the valve body or elsewhere?
