I have the master wiring diagrams, but I found a dead-end. The highlighted area is a red-green wire, red white wire and white-red to connection C-220. the red-green continues on to the coil. What are the other two wires for? how do i fin them on schematic?
The coil power source, C-220, is fed from 2 different places.
1) the resistor wire, which starts near the ingition switch mounted on the column.
So look on the diagram for a RUN output that ends up at C-220
2) the coil gets full voltage, Bypassing the resistor wire, to give a start assist while crank the engine. This comes from the "I" output stud on the starter solenoid. This should end up at C-220.
This is just general info, but it might help you find what you are looking for.

Thank you Jim. I was thinking that was what the (2) different red wires were. What about the white wire off that same plug?
Is the voltage to the coil though the resistor obviously lower than 12 volts? Like single digit vs high 11 volts? I need the 12 volts to the coil the whole time, not a reduced voltage.

Not sure about the white wire.
Why do you need 12 in RUN?
Is this a DS2 system?
Jim
It is not a DS2 system. its a small cap pointless replacement distributor.
You will have to bypass the original resistor wire or use a relay to get full voltage. The instructions that came with your replacement dist. should have more details.
