Software updates not happening

For the past two months I get this notice on Ford Pass of a software update within the next 24 hours- I already have software updates scheduled in my truck's update section of SYNC4. Today I even went to the update section in SYNC4 and put in for the the update to UPDATE NOW- that was 6 hours ago and Ford Pass says Stand By..... Yes I got on the ford pass "chat line" and that was a week ago the chatline said the update was gonna happen within 24 hours- I called the dealer and they said it's a Ford Pass thing but I can bring it in, but it's not possible right now. This is on my 23 F150 STX it only has 20,000 miles on it, and runs great- should I be worried?

I turned updates off, on purpose.

I too have a '23 STX, but have twice as many miles. It runs great as it came from the factory. I figure why give them the chance to screw something up?

It's a pickup, not an Iphone. They can keep their intrusions to themselves.

Yup after all this nonsense all I got was a window thing that had nothing to do with me LOL- I think I'm gonna do as you did and find a way to just turn it off- how did you do it?

It's somewhere in your dashboard menus under the "connectivity" tab.

Good luck.
I turned off as many "smart" features as possible. Parking sensors, collision avoidance, etc. I bought an STX on purpose. Was looking for a simple truck, for a simple man.
All these electronic nannies drive me nuts. How did we ever survive, driving for decades before our vehicles started trying to babysit us?
