I'm curious as to why the cap was taken off to polarize the generator - usually that is not necessary. Ford generally used type "B" systems and would follow the corresponding instructions:



Next, FAS-10139-B Is not a generator part number - don't be fooled by others on the internet using that to identify a generator. That is actually the part number to the front plate component of the generator and is not certain to define/identify the generator application or capabilities. I will dig through my library to see what I can narrow down from that.
