So I got this truck, One hub has a busted cover and looks like 6 bolt, the other hub is a 3 bolt. Been reading that the 3 bolt version are "automatic" yet I see no wires and a manual actuator so maybe they are not electrically activated. Not sure whast's up with that and why an "auto" hub would have a ****
Regardless, I just want the manual ones unless someone has comments on why the autos are better.
Then you also read that the auto hubs are mechanical and engaged when 4wd was selected and the truck moved in either direction. The design flaw is that when the opposite direction was selected the hubs momentarily disengaged and then reengaged.
Top picture the cap is missing but appears to be 3 bolt
Middle picture is clearly a manual hub
Bottom picture irrelevant.
I’d say you probably only need a replacement cap but the bolts are broken off on the hub body. Good luck getting those out.

What part number did you see on Warn’s website?
So you are saying the top pic with the broken cover are also 3 bolt even though there are 6 bolts?
I'd rather just get a new pair and be done with it instead of replacing just the cap. The warn PNs I've seen are:
Warn 140489-03392050 but they are 19 spline which won't fit although they specify 1997 F250 HD but also specify "LIGHT DUTY"
Warn WRN-20990 from Summitt
Warn 5313-03235345 from another retailer
Pretty strange how drastically the part numbering scheme changes
Dime a dozen at the junkyard for those hub bodies and caps
Used to be but not so much anymore. Not many vehicles that old show up at the yards near me. Several years ago, I grabbed a couple sets of OEM and Warn premium hubs as well as a set of Mile Marker.
