Appreciate it. But im actually looking for just the hub all apart. Cleaning mine and just wanna make sure the gaskets go back to the correct locations. That dana manual is nice to have though will be keeping that
The DANA hubs are completely different than the Warn.
All you need to do on the Warn is clean them up good and put a little grease on the moving parts. it's very important to re lube the parts that turn with the wheel or you'll toast them. as I recall it's 30w oil but check on that to make sure.
I removed the dial for cleaning and it has two gaskets a washer and snap ring. I cant remeber what order they go back together. I did all this a couple weeks ago then my 2 son was born so I didnt get it back together before i forgot how it went. Thats where im stucl thought a diagram if there is one would help
One is a gasket one is a o ring. Disassembled them because they were grity and the threy were all gunked up and could not clean them put together. Took some 220 grit paper and finley sanded back to a clean finish. A friend has the same one gunna take his off and see will keep ya posted
Post some pictures of all the parts you have including the gaskets/o-rings. If they are like our Mile-Markers, the body slides in, big lock ring goes in, then you line up the cap and tighten the screws.
The only o-rings ours have is a small one around the **** and a larger one that goes between the hub and cap.
I checked the Mile Marker website, and the instructions don't show an exploded view.
ok so here it is all apart and then back together.
Starting with the hub gear assembly first.
1.remove locking ring by pulling up open end and unscrewing like a nut. Which will release outer gear and spring.
2. Turn over and remove the other locking ring by pulling up open end and unscrewing like a nut. This will release the inner gear, washer and copper or plastic bushing.
3.Clean all parts thoroughly, lightly greese
(DO NOT PACK)
4.Reverse steps to assemble.
Now for the dial assembly
1.Remove spring by unscrewing off of star nut
2.Remove star nut by lightly lifting tabs over keeper until released.
3.Remove snap ring. This will allow the washer under the snap ring to be removed along with the dial, o-ring, and gasket.
4.Clean all parts thoroughly and lightly greese.
( DO NOT PACK) including o-ring and gasket if still good. If not purchase Warn rebuild kit.
5.reverse steps to assemble.
The first two pictures are all the parts disassembled and laid out in order of removal and how they should be put back together.
The next two is how the hub should look after all is reassembled
