My baby needs help.

Good afternoon. I'm hoping one of my fellow Excursion drivers can help me get my Princess Tank back on the road. She is a 2003 V10 6.8L. She Had a bad experience with a mechanic that didn't know what they were doing after I blew one of my heater hose connections that was connected back at the firewall at the heater core connection. I know that I'm probably going to have to MacGyver some parts back correctly but if anybody could take pictures that has been working on their vehicle of how these hoses are supposed to reconnect. I know there is the upper heater hose that connects to the front of the engine into the back but I don't know how it connected back to the heater core and the underside that I provided pictures for I don't know how anything was connected that way back. I appreciate any help. I tried finding a diagram that was showing me the parts but that seems to be very hard to find and I'm kind of limited on videos. Again I just need to see how it's supposed to connect and then I will build whatever I need to myself but I can't tell how these things are supposed to be reconnected. Pictures or video would be great.

Lower connection that I'm not sure how it connected so that I can get the coolant to flow correctly.

The hoses in your picture are for the rear heat I am guessing ?
I do not have an X ,but can tell you , the hoses are a snap lock kind of connection onto the heater core .

I just went through this when my heater core connections started leaking. Most of the hoses are NLA and some, especially anything related to rear heat is Excursion specific and don't exist anymore that I could find. I also could not find suitable right angle quick connects to mate to the heater core. I had to buy aftermarket straight fittings and use a loop of hose off the heater core so the hoses would not kink up. Spray silicone spray in the new QC fittings and on the ends of the heater core and then have someone push on the heater core from inside the car and they will snap on, Sadly, you won't be able to see what you are doing while you do it.

The water comes out of the cylinder head on the driver side, loops around the back of the engine and comes out then T's off with the hose from the rear heater valve from up front on the engine (I think from the water pump IIRC). the other end of the T leads to one leg of the heater core and the other leg of the heater core goes down to the rear heater core line I think....
