Stalling in Reverse and 1 Low

Hello,

I am at a loss. I have a 1996 F-350 7.3 4x4 Automatic. I have replaced the filter, fluids, and torque converter on my E4OD in order to stop it from stalling in Reverse and Manuel 1st when cold, and lugging in drive when hot. So far I have not tested how it is hot but it still stalls in R and 1st when at around 100-110 degrees. What else could be wrong?

the stalling when put in gear at idle or close to idle is the torque converter staying locked.
it is usually caused by low trans fluid level, but could also be electrical issue, or a bad torque converter.
is your overdrive light flashing? that is the truck trying to tell you there is a fault code in the trans computer

It's time to put a pressure gauge on this and see if pump pressure being low is the issue. Either that or maybe an epc solenoid possibly. Mark K knows more than I without going to the manual

Put a pressure gauge on it an see if there is low pressure. The EPC solenoid can be the cause of low pressure, but there are several other possible causes.

The pressure test port is on the driver's side of the trans, towards the front of the trans, just above the pan rail. It had a black hex head plug from the factory. The thread is 1/8" NPT.
