So basically, One day I flipped the truck into 4x4 in the morning. 10 minutes later out it back in 2wd. Started shifting funny. Went into school. Got out of school to my truck, lost OD and 4th, 30 minutes later there goes 3rd, so on and so forth in about 30 minutes incriments I’m down to just first and reverse and 1st barely works, sat for 3 weeks while I saved up money for a torque converter because I thought it was the problem. Now I only have reverse. Literally does not move no matter how much love I give the go go petal. Did some digging and seemed like that isn’t the problem. Idk what to do or how to figure it out. Hoping the transmission guys on hear can give a kid some knowledge thanks for your time.

trans wise it sounds like that trans has major internal issues that will need a full over haul which means a very big repair bill
How did you come up with the torque converter being the problem? The torque converter doesn't know what gear the trans is in. It can't work in reverse and not forward, that's impossible.
It could be loose feedbolts. If they are loose it can cause this. If they are tight, the trans is done and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
To get to the feedbolts you need to drop the pan and the main valve body. Then you can see them up in the case.
Also, in the 4r100 4th gear is overdrive, if your truck feels like it has more than 4 forward gears it is because of the converter locking up in each gear.

Had to do this on a buddy's 2002 Excursion. I also found a valve stuck way open. I shimmed it so it wouldn't do that again and while it bought him time, it ultimately had to be rebuilt. I found way too much clutch material in the pan.
