Digital Display Odometer Problems?

Digital Display Odometer Problems?
Thinking this might be an issue with ny 2005 E-350 5.4 gasoline van, the odometer has started flashing numbers without displayiing anything coherent such as mileage etc. All other gauges and normal functions are fine, its the digital odo display,
I believe this is an issue requiring the cluster to be sent in for repair if so does anyone have a specific vendor they're used for such service? So far I'm favoring CircuitBoardMedics who have a short turn around full replacement option if I send my failing cluster to them costing about $249 complete.
Looking for advice or personal experiences with having a 2004-2008 Ford instrument cluster repaired/refurbished.

Turns out my instrument cluster needed repaired so its now in the hands of Circuit Board Medics :CNM Currently an in-process of shipping back to me this date.
I opted for their exchange which sends me an already repaired/rebuilt they have ready to ship out same day they receive payment and filling out a repair form answering a few questions and vehicle details. I'll update with results and my overall experience with them for those who may be interested in the future.

Theres nothing they need from the original cluster to keep the odometer reading? In other cars since about that vintage, there’s a handshake between cluster and ECU/PCM to display the correct mileage. A similar cluster works but the odometer display is blank.
