Any F350 owners know what replacement tires will work? My 8-17.5 Firestone nylon tires are scary old and so hard I don't think I need air in them. The local tire shops can't find replacements. I found online 215-75r-17.5 listed as truck tires any position.. I swapped the rear end in the past and have 225 -85-16s in back. Front rims are tubeless dually rims with 6 lugs.
Last time I looked, which was a few months ago, the expensive bias plys are currently our only option. Nobody is making a radial at the moment. Eventually, somebody may fire up a run of them... at least I hope so.

The ones I listed in my post are radial tires. From GigaTires they are around $105 each. Shipping costs about $120 for two. My concern was the size compared to what I have. 215-75R-17.5. I am going to measure the old tires. I've never ordered tires online.
So, tire experts, my old 8-17.5 tires measure 6" tread, 8" wide, just under 30" tall mounted. The 225-85R-16s are pretty close except tread width is 6.75". I can't find 85s anywhere, only 75s and most are 16 ply. They are listed as 30.6" diameter, 8.9" wide and for 6"-6.5" rims. I think there is enough room for them. I know they are cheap Chinese tires but this truck does not get on the road a lot.
Here's a question for the wheel experts. I noticed the dually adapters bolt onto the drums with 8 bolts. Are these the same pattern as an 8 lug non dually rim?
If you are talking about the adapter on the front of an F350, it is not actually an adapter. The big flared bell hub is one piece. The 8 bolts you see, hold the drum onto the hub. These bolts are indeed same as 8 lug wheels and dually adapters. On my '59 f350, I cut off the bell and installed longer studs and bolted on dually adapters. Then swapped rear axle to a sterling 10 1/4". Now the truck is all 8 lug. 10 years now. Hope this helps.
