TaIlgate ajar warning keeps popping up on my dash , I’ve got a 2025 King Ranch F350 . Tailgate seems to be closed good , I can tug on it and it’s not coming open. I’m guessing a latch sensor maybe out of adjustment or is bad . The warning just started about a week ago and is intermittent. Anyone have or had this issue?
Do you have a tonneau cover on it? I get this occasionally because I do, and it's a close fit. I open the tonneau a bit(it's electric) and open and close the tailgate, and then close the tonneau, and all is fine.

This is the same for me as well, It can be just a little off on one side and it pops that warning. I have the tailgate step and it interferes with the bed cover a little so its a tight fit.

No tonneau cover. I do had a Leer cap but that doesn’t interfere with it , if anything it will hold it closed if it did open. I’ll call dealership and make an appointment. Just seeing if anyone has had the issue and what was done.
maybe you could fix it yourself easy enough and save yourself all the greif of driving down there for untold amount of hours. surely it cant be that difficult to sort out

Probably could , got several projects going on and trying to get ready to pull travel trailer to Colorado. Went a head and got an appointment on Monday.
I have a 2025 F450 that I took delivery of in June this year. I just started getting this warning also. I push the passenger side of the tailgate and the warning goes away. I think it is a misaligned sensor. Plan to have it looked at when it is due for its first service.
The same thing started happening on my '25 with the automatic tailgate. I would get the warning, but could push in on the passenger side, and it would click, and the warning would go away. I adjusted the latch pin on that side very slightly, and everything has been working correctly for a few weeks.
When troubleshooting mine, I noticed that the passenger side would pull in flush with the bed, but then come back out slightly after a second. Now it pulls in and I hear an audible click that wasn't there before on the passenger side. I thought about taking it in under warranty, but I was afraid it would take multiple trips of them just throwing parts at it, so I decided to troubleshoot myself and that seemed to work.
