‘66 windshield washer system

The truck I am working on has a pump, the nozzles in the hood but nothing else. How does power get to the pump? There is no wire coming off the harness anywhere that I can see. The windshield wiper **** seems to pull out. Is that how the pump is activated? I must have a missing wire somewhere. Can’t find any diagrams on this. Any help is appreciated.

*17A674 - Windshield Washer Pump To Wiper Switch Wire

The pump gets its ground from where it is screwed to the inner fender. The black wire is the power wire. Drawing below is close but off just a little.

Do you by any chance have a black push button just above the ignition switch? My 66 has the washer button mounted there. Not entirely sure, but I believe if a truck was ordered from the factory with windshield washers, the switch would be integral with the wiper switch. If mounted on the dash, like mine, customer might have wanted it on a truck on the lot, the dealer would add it, using the push button. Or, perhaps it was used on trucks with the budget single speed wipers? Or maybe I dreamed the whole thing up?

On a side note - when I wanted to add washers to my 59’, I found an NOS kit that had a foot-activated “pump” - no electric pump or switch. It was located near the headlight dimmer switch. A bit of a nuisance, but all I could find at the time

In the lower left of the drawing in my post above it shows the button 11500 mounted above the ignition switch with a 1965 in the small box below it. The upper left shows the integrated switch which was used 1966/67. Actually, the simple button washer switch was used up through September 1965 serial number 760,001 when they changed to the wiper switch with integral washer pump switch.

Of course, some like my 1966 F250 4x4 still used the bellow foot pump that @ibuzzard mentioned. The fancy electrical pump was only the 1966 2WD trucks and F100 4x4 in 1966.

OK, from this thread, and others, I would like to know if there are any parts for a '61-'66 Ford truck that TA455HO does not have on his shelf? Please yes, that is both envy and respect in my question.

If only you knew my friend. If only you knew...
Maybe a bit OCD but I've always loved new parts. Out with the old, in with the new.
Once I learned how to read the Ford parts books finding the parts was much easier.

Early on working with my uncle in his shop a 1969 Mach1 with 428CJ came in for some work. This was about 1976, so the car was only about 7 years old. It was T-totally thrashed. Lived a hard life in those few years before I saw it.
I decided any vehicle I restored I'd try to get as many new/NOS parts for them as possible.
I've got everything divided up as Ford did it in the books. One bin for each section, more bins if there were lots of parts in that section.
Bigger things like wheels, driveshafts, mufflers, etc. don't go in the bins

10 - Hubs, drums, wheel bearings, lug nuts
20 - Brakes
30 - Front axle, steering
40 - Rear axle (gears, shims, bearings, retainers)
50 - Frame, springs, exhaust
60 - Engine
70 - Transmission
80 - Cooling (hoses, clamps, thermostats)
90 - Fuel system (pumps, carburetors)
100 - Alternators
110 - Starters
120 - Distributors
130 - Turn indicators, horn, lamps
140 - Wiring (dash, engine, gas tank, rear lights)
150 - Cigar lighters
160 - Hood (emblems, latches, springs), front fenders, radiator support
170 - Bumpers, mirrors, radios, windshield wipers, speedometers
180 - Shock absorbers, heaters

000 - Body (mounts, windshield pillars, plates)
030 - Body (windshield, moldings, visors, consoles)
100 - Body (floor, transmission covers, scuff plates)
200 - Body (bedside step kits, doors, door windows, latches, locks, hinges, map compartments)
270 - Body (quarter panel)
400 - Body (tailgate, tool storage compartment)
500 - Body (roof, roof trim panel molding)
600 - Body (seats, seatbelts, tracks)

Soft Trim - (padded visors, dash pad, door panels, headliners)

I am humbled and in awe. I myself am a cabinet maker and while I have enjoyed turning the odd wrench when I was younger, and restored a vintage BMW back in the day, I am somewhat new to the Ford scene, but I do appreciate the necessity of having a good parts book, shop manual and resource for parts on a project (yes, I had all that and still do on my then BMW although the car is long since gone). However, I am not sure I will live long enough to gain either the knowledge or the stock that you appear to have, so I am sure I speak for many when I say thank you for sharing your vast knowledge and valuable resource info with those on this site. You and a few others are invaluable.

That said, and as I mentioned, I am a cabinet maker and I am in the process of trying to get everything lined up to build a new shop. One I hope that will be big enough so that when I can bring Lucy home (the aforementioned '66) I will have a place to tinker...restore...maybe a touch of restomod... and that brings me to ask...just how much space do you have to not only store, but so effortlessly retrieve your wonder plunder of FoMo parts?
