start on ignition switch

I'm a little baffled on this, i have a 66 F100 custom cab. I bought it last fall and have been making it "mine" since then. So I have it running very reliably now. My issue is the key switch. lately I have been having a issue of starting the truck no problem, however the wiper, blinkers, radio and fuel gauge will not be working but the truck still starts. If I turn it off and cycle the key switch slowly to run wait for the radio to come on the start everything seems ok. I'm thinking the contacts in the key switch are loose and have a bad connection. I really don't want to replace all the components. I was wondering if a used one from slick truck parts would be a quick replacement without needing to replace the bezel and the pigtail etc. Next option would be to replace all the components. Just gathering ideas here. Next question is who has the better new set up ignition switch bezel. I have read stories about the start key not returning back after starting like the spring back after start is engaged. just picking ideas here thanks in advance Jeff

I would flood it with spray electrical contact cleaner. That stuff sometimes works wonders. Be ready to wipe up the excess as it may harm paint if left on too long.

I like the map sensor cleaner. It works well on switches.

I will give that a try first. I called Brian at slick truck parts he also said only a new one would correct that issue. He has heard of the problem with the old ignition switches doing this sometimes and replacing it with another old one really not fix the issue. Good guy he is for parts and info. The leads I got to him were from all you guys here on the forum.
Thanks to all of you who read and respond to questions.
Thanks Jeff

I have decided to go ahead and replace the ignition switch components. I found the breakdown at LMC and will use them for the parts. I now also compiled a list to replace all the bezels and ***** etc while I am at it. New question... Can i just replace the choke bezel? it looks like the bezel and cable are sold as one. My cable is fine so I was just going to replace the bezel and **** if possible. Same goes for the heater fan cable. Is just the bezel and **** changeable? I think they have a nut behind them the hold on the dash and the bezel would screw on from the front. If I am wrong on that please help thanks Jeff
