ignition switch
Ok, so a few months ago, I lost my only key to Jade (my 93 bronco). A local locksmith was gonna charge over 200$ for service call & make new key. If I could've drove to him only 75$, boy I wish I knew then what I know now! Anyway, I opted to replace key switch instead. Fast forward to yesterday. I put the new key switch in & when I tried to put ignition switch back I never could get to start with key. I used the alignment mark on steering column and switch in run, but the key won't extend the connecting rod far enough to move the switch into start. This is my first time dealing with the ignition switch! I did manually move the switch into start and the truck fired. So switch is good. What did I do wrong? How do I correctly align the two?
