For the 2025 (and maybe 2026) F-350 XLT, are the driver and front passenger seats the same regardless of whether you order the 40/20/40 split bench or the 40/Console/40 setup? I'm wondering if you get more comfortable bucket seats with the 40/Console/40 arrangement, even on just the XLT....
For $300 order the console and the seats are the same. Center armrest not too good, for me anyway.
OK, so the seats are the same, that is really what I wanted to know. So what I would be buying is the console instead of the center seat. I guess it comes down to whether or not I need to be able to carry six people, or not. Thanks for your reply.

The issue is more with storage (I don't have any), and what's worse is the two cup holders are right where you rest your arm. I added the floor mounted cup holders that USED to be standard with a six seat configuration.
Console also adds the rear vents for back seat passengers, if you do the 60/40 then that is omitted. That was my main reason for going with the buckets and console so the kids can have the HVAC vents.
Granted the console does have more direct HVAC vents but when you have the center seat, the back seat area is still given HVAC "vents". They just happen to be under the driver and passenger seats and look kind of like a vacuum cleaner attachment. You can purchase extensions that will bring the airflow out from under the seat and point upwards. Like I said, the console is more direct, but it's not like having the center seat allows no flow to the back seat. At least not on my 2024.
Here's a picture of the under seat air "vent" I'm talking about.

Yes you still have airflow directed back there, not having those vents on the backside of the console more directly blowing on your passengers helps out a lot.
I came from a 23'Sierra 2500 and I was surprised to see Ford didn't have direct rear air vents like the GM trucks do with the 60/40. My Sierra had the floor and rear console because with the 60/40. Although the super duty seats blow the gm seats out of the water so I was fine moving up to a console configuration.
