Are we thinking generic carb cleaner for the IAC and CRC spray mass air sensor cleaner for the mass airflow sensor? I have both of those here in the tractor shed.

QUOTE=Mykah knabe;21574937]I would recommend just cleaning both the Idle air control valve and the mass airflow sensor before replacing anything. while your at it double check all your vacuum lines and connections.[/QUOTE]
Both work. But ive heard carb cleaner is hard on plastic? Not sure if thats true, but i would recommend using the CRC spray on both. What would be best is to get IAC valve cleaner, as that would clean it the better than the CRC spray. If you use the carb cleaner just use lightly.
Excellent. Thanks! I have never seen IAC cleaner on the rack at the auto parts place, but I’ve never looked for it either! I’ll take a peek, maybe later today.
I’ll keep you all up to date, and thanks again!

sorry i should have written that differently. I meant to say a cleaner thats better for idle air control valves. So like throttle body or an intake cleaner. Some list idle air control valves. Carb cleaner would probably work fine, just dont over use it. But like I said before, throttle body cleaners that list idle air control valves is best.
Hey everyone… just a quick update. I am shifting gears to our Ford Focus this weekend, so won’t be able to work on the pickup until next week, I’ll keep you all updated. Thanks for the help so far!
