Lots of threads on carb conversion for previous generations, none for this gen that I could find.
My 99 f250 light duty had been continuously plagued with electrical issues the last couple of years.
Overall the truck is in great shape otherwise. Used primarily as a farm truck, would love to just get rid of everything electronic and get a carbureted setup
i am guessing not easily possible since no one seems to be doing it.
I've been researching this topic, since my truck had electrical problems. It's possible, but it requires some investment. Mainly a modified intake for the carburetor, resistors for The injectors used to trick the PCM would be between 15 and 25 ohms and have a capacity of about 50 watts; the fuel rail is eliminated. A regulator is installed to lower the pump pressure from 55 to 6 psi full for use with the carburetor, thus preserving the PCM's ability to manage spark and transmission without causing problems. According to my research, the carburetor to use would be a Holley 600cc, as the engine requires some fuel flow. I'm not guaranteeing that all of this is correct, but it's what I've been able to find out.
Note: If anyone manages to do this, please share the information; I'd like to try it sometime.
