how about i just scrap the whole thing? how about all 3 trucks since this forum has been sooo helpful. not once has a single person responded in this or any other post on this truck in a helpful manner. trying to learn something and i get attitude i dont deserve for trying to keep these 80s relics on the road and as safe as i can. ford and chevy truck people are some of the rudest people on forums ive ever met. next time ill take my question and shove it somewhere and let the truck sit before i ever use this forum again

The thread started out as diagnosing an E4OD issue. It is a transmission that is completely controlled by the computer. You were getting help trying to figure that out and then you change the topic to the front axle engaging on its own. We started trying to figure out what you had and asked for pictures to help narrow down what you were describing but you claimed you could not post pictures. You were even given an exploded parts diagram and offered others if you wanted.
A month later you show us the front axle from a parts truck that you could have used to compare the two and actually used to swap out the front axle. Miraculously now you have the capability to take a picture of the axle from the parts truck but couldn’t take a picture of this butchered axle as they sat next to each other on the ground. I’m starting to wonder if this axle with sections cut out of it exists

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
thats a picture off the internet i colored over in edit. did you even try reverse searching it? and i didnt get anything helpful for the e4Od problem since i asked multiple questions and only got "check the codes" if there isnt any codes and its only doing the standard flash procedure then there sure aint any. still have no idea if it has 3rd but bo lockup or just has up to 2nd and lock since that was ignored. kind of like the pile of crap 99 f250 thats sitting next to it that has engine issues and no codes
maybe you answered your own question in the first post.
i would agree except it runs fine and hasnt burned a drop of oil in months after it got above 20 degrees outside and is back to getting 8 mpg running 3500 rpm at 60. so clearly the valve guides are borderline at best

even if i understood the post to be a picture he was using off the internet, i was more taken aback by the "didnt bother to get any pictures"
I really, at this point, dont know what else to say since hes not clueing us in to the situation. and i know he was snarky in reply to me but if i were him i would re-read the thread, and the first point you run into that you havent done or dont know for sure, reply to it, and he could likely get the help he needs. but at the very moment i wouldnt know what to say
