Neutral safety switch install issue

Sometimes will catch park if I slam it into park. Sometimes will not. So just parking it in neutral with parking brake for now. I got a hose clamp and I’m going to see if I can use it to seat the cable jacket and keep the cable from moving. Duct tape is working for now. Gonna recalibrate the NSS and apply the hose clamp after.
I would replace it. Twice in my life I’ve had transmission shifters (worn out), and thought they had engaged park properly. They were not, and rolled back on me when I hopped out with the door open - engine running, in reverse.
It’s got real exciting, real quick..
