I installed a floor shifter on my 75' f100 with C-6
I need to locate the old neutral/park safty switch so I can rewire it into my new shifter. I don't know where the old one is and I need it or I can't start the truck! Does any one know where it is? or how I could rewire another one? please help!
And anyone knows about the reverse/back-up switch?
thanks
Anthony
Relax. The neutral safety switch is on the top of the steering column at the fire wall. If you have a small drill, you can manually push the neutral safety switch to the park position and place the small drill into a hole through the switch which will hold the switch in park. Since your using a floor shifter, you don't need the switch. You'll be able to start in any gear and your backup lights will no longer work. I did it 20 years ago on my truck and have only destroyed two flywheels.
Have Fun, Good Luck.

I can't beleive that, i searched through all the wiring on the upper ortion of the steerting column, wasted so much time, and they were neatly fixed on the lower part, how did I not see that?
that was pretty stupid of me!
