Brand new fender from carparts.com won't align. Very new to body work and really don't want to mess this up... goes on a 1993 f-250 7.3 IDI on the drivers front side, the fender seems to align fine on the front but sticks way out on the bottom bracket in-front of the door, tried bending the tab on the new fender but still sticks out too much, the goal is to have a even gap where it meets the door and match the hood but I'm not sure how it fits with the hood yet being that it is taken off for this project. I have no clue what I'm doing and I live in the middle of nowhere so I would like to be able to do this on my own. I can add pics if needed. Hoping someone has been in this spot and is able to help!
Oh boy. It's been so long now, I don't remember but I've replaced them on my '93 f250 and didn't seem to run into any issues.
I dunno if you'll see anything helpful here or not.
Yeah, I put those on to ready her for this new (in 2012) paint job.
She's due for another paint job again. This time blue metallic/ black center. Sometime in May hopefully. Doing it myself this time, like I did to my '68 T-bird and F-450. I'm going to try and do up a basic, how too, when I do it. Prep to spray, right in the driveway, for under $1,000, like I did to this one:
that is awesome!! hopefully it all goes well for you! Im hoping to be able to paint mine when the time comes but I gotta make sure everything lines up right before I worry about paint lol
