What years and models did Ford offer with the Ford chainsaw and case mounted under the hood? I believe it mounted on the drivers side inner fender. I only remember seeing one mounted in the case and seeing one chainsaw out of the case. Anybody know or have one of these options?
A fishing rod! That's cool too, so what year was the rod? I think the saw came under the "Camper Special", at least that would make the most sense, but yes highboy 74, they did have them. Somebody on here even posted a pic of their saw, I'll try and track it down and email them and see where it came from and post a link. Stay tuned!
Like George Washington said...."..I must confess...."; I was just joshing you. The rod is a '74 F100 custom - only thing it had under the hood was a worn out six cylnder with a 40 amp alternator and that was IT....until I got hold of it. Click my gallery for a little more insight.
I'll back on out and let y'all talk about your rods.....I just couldn't pass up the chance about the fishin' rod....
Thanks for posting tellico racing. I remembered seeing your saw posted on here before. By the time I tracked it down and got ready to send you an email I noticed that your last post was on Ford chainsaws and I thought, "Wait a minute, that's my thread"! So thanks for posting the pics. I do believe that they were an option. Maybe somebody just bought it and stuck it on the fenderwell, but I think I've seen one mounted on a '75-'77 maybe a "Camper Special". It was mounted with a bracket like how the jack is mounted on the inner fender. I posted a thread in the '73-'79 forum to see if anybody knows about it. Stay tuned and we'll figure this out!
