I bought the saw at a junk auction,It wouldnt start because the choke lever didnt work,I paid 7 dollars for it. The choke problem turned out to be a loose set screw on the lever.
I used it to cut firewood for a few years before buying a new stihl. The engine is made by ohlsson and rice,There is no other manufacturer name on it.O&R made engines for a bunch of saws back in the early 70's,My book lists 15 different saws with this same engine,The ford saw is not included in the list though.
I dont really want to sell it,of course.....everyone has their price.

When I was at a swap meet a few years ago there was a Ford sewing machine, I wanted to buy it just to put in my basement but I didn't because the guy wanted $50, I kinda wish i had though, that would be cool.

you know, its those items you pay 7 bucks for at a garage sale that might one day be a collector item worth $5,000

if i were you and only had 7 bucks into owning the saw, i would just keep it. it couldnt be taking up too much space. you never know what it may be worth.

I did a Yahoo search, and the only thing I came up with that was even remotely close was THIS FORUM! I like that v8, though. I think I would need to bulk up a bit more before using it, though.
