Hi guys. Can anyone tell me what this gold port is for on the front of this Motorcraft 2150? I bought one as a 2 barrel swap for an AMC 6 cylinder a few years ago, but never really looked at it until a week ago as the project was on hold. I have never seen this port on an AMC, nor on the 2100 on my 67 F100, and finally saw this picture of one, pertaining to a Ford application, and was hoping someone could tell me if it's something I can just plug off, or do I need it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
