Something doesn't look right. That's not the original engine is it?

On the first pix, that is the WOT, it is used with the EGR to disable it when you floor it.
WOT = wide open throttle

Looking at the vacuum diagram photo in the lower left corner on the same line as DUAL TANKS it should say 4.9. It is cut off in the photo.

Is the Dist "Dual Vacuum"?
Is this a Calif truck?

I would edit the post title to include...... 1983 4.9 - Photos needed of vacuum lines.

Good luck, Jim

Okay, I think I can help with some... Keep in mind that my engine has been desmogged [Duraspark conversion].

Using your numbering system from the photo at the top of the thread...
1. I believe this is ported vacuum for the distributor vacuum advance.
2. ? All I see is a hose and cannot tell where it is connected. [PVC hose connection]
3. This port is the vacuum source for the junction mounted on the firewall which then is connected to the ventilation system.
4. This was connected to the emission system - now capped on mine.
5. ?
6. This port supplies vacuum to the temperature sensor located on top of the air cleaner.

What is missing is the PCV hose connection. This is a large rubber hose [similar to the PB booster line]. On mine, it connects to a large vacuum port located at the base of the carburetor. Now that I look again, I believe #2 is for a somewhat hidden port which will be the PVC connection.

I hope this will be of some assistance!
